1. This machine is a three-axis CNC spiral bevel gear generator, heavy duty type for large and heavy gears. The three CNC controlled movements are the cradle movement (X-axis), the work spindle movements (Y-axis) and the feed of the cutter spindle (Z-axis).
The rotations of the cutter spindle are controlled by means of the frequency- variable adjustments because of the great variation of the cutter diameters. 18″~40″ cutters can be used on this machine. In order to avoid the power loss owing to the wide speed variation, three kinds of change gears are available.
2. High precision worm and worm wheel pairs are mounted for both the cradle and the workhead to insure the accuracies of indexing and generating roll.
3. A hydraulic floating device is mounted on the sliding guideway surface to reduce the moving force created when adjusting the machine.
4. Fine quality CNC system, electrical and hydraulic components, bearings and sealing parts provided by the CE certified suppliers are adopted on the machine to guarantee the reliability of the machine.
5. The hydraulic oil used for the machine is thermo controlled.
6. An enclosure and an automatic chip conveyor are equipped on the machine.
7. This machine has a better rigidity. The cradle lock and the overhead tie bar form the machine to an integral frame structure. The machine is capable for hard surfacing.

Model YKD2280 machine is a precision CNC Spiral Bevel Gear Generator, which is designed for roughing and finishing Spiral Bevel Gear and Hypoid Gears and Constant-depth gears of the Gleason system with the diameter up to 800mm and module 15mm.
On this machine, the cutter is mounted on the cradle (circular guideway). The integral structure is rigid, highly accurate and working stably. The cradle-type gear cutting machine, which is also possible for heard surfacing, is durable and the service life will be several dozens of years normal operating conditions. The machine is with universal features and it is suitable for roughing and finishing, in mass production, gears used for medium & heavy load trucks, mining machineries, construction machineries shipbuilding industry.
The machine is equipped with a CNC control system 802DSL(SIEMENS) and designed to operate as a three-axis machine, i.e. cradle rotation(X axis), work spindle rotation(Y axis) and sliding base movement(Z axis)being simultaneously controlled by the CNC control system to cut gears. The rotation of cutter spindle(S axis)is controlled by A.C. frequency-variable motor for its stepless control. Therefore, no change gears will be used on the machine for cutting gears. The machine operation is easy and flexible. The clients who have the conventional machines can convert the machine settings used machines into the machine settings for the YKD2280 machine.
