Semiconductor Grade Silicon Material

  It is estimated that the annual production of poly-crystalline silicon in the world was 28750 tons in 2005, of which are 20250 tons of semiconductor grade, 8500 tons of solar grade. The need for semiconductor grade is about 19000 tons with oversupplies; the demand for solar grade is 15600 tons, which can not meet the supply.
  The silicon materials required by semiconductor industry have higher standards on the purity and resistivity than those required by PV industry. Thus the silicon materials scraped by semiconductor industry can be reused for photovoltaic industry. Now EGing has its own set of unique technology to make good use of such materials.
