About tempered glass

Tempered glass is manufactured through tempering process, with good mechanical property and heat resistance. It has a compressive stress layer on the surface, forming high pressure resistance.

Tempered glass’s compressive stress is 95 MPA when subjecting to external forces. And the layer can offset certain tensile stress to improve bearing capacity. Tempered glass’s bending strength is 3-5times stronger than normal glass. If the glass is broken, it will cause less damage to people.

Advantage	Safety: When broken, tempered glass is to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.
	High strength: Comparing to the float or annealed glass, the impact resistance and bending resistance is 3~5 times.
	Thermal stability: Comparing to the float or annealed glass, Tempered glass can endure the difference in temperature 3~5 times. It can withstand 250℃ difference in temperature.
