The differences between OLTC transformer and General no load tap changer transformer:

1. The biggest advantage of OLTC transformer is can adjust voltage on load under the condition 

of without a power outage; But general transformer need to cut the power first and adjust the voltage 

manually.

　　           2. The price of OLTC transformer will expensive than the normal one, the installation cost will get higher 

also. If it occurs failure, the cost of maintenance will higher as well as.

3. OLTC transformer is appropriate for the area which with unstable voltage supply or loading, but with 

high requirement for the voltage and need to adjust the voltage frequently. That these users should 

choose OLTC transformer.

4. If the production process is continuous, but it has deviation with the voltage, that choose OLTC 

transformer will improve the reliability of power supply.

5. No need to cut power or test when the OLTC transformer running, but NO load tap changer
