Description of Rotary Drum Dryer

The Rotary Drum Dryer is also called rotary dryer, rotary tube dryer, rotary cylinder dryer,  widely used in the field of building materials, metallurgies, chemical industry, cement plant and so on. It can dry slag, coal powder, mining powder, clay, sand, limestone and so on. It is composed of rotary drum, lifters, driving device, supporting device etc. The dryer has advantages of reasonable structure, high efficiency, low energy consumption and convenient for transportation.

 

Working Principle of Rotary Drum Dryer

Rotary dryers consist of a horizontally inclined rotating cylinder. Material is fed at one end and discharged at the other end. In direct-type rotary dryers, hot gases move through the cylinder in direct contact with the material, either with or against the direction of its flow. The cylinder is equipped with flights, which lift the material and shower it down through the hot gas stream.

 

Characteristics of Rotary Drum Dryer:

1. It adopts combined lifting system designed by our company, overcome the "wind tunnel" phenomenon of traditional dryers, high thermal efficiency, coal consumption reduced by 20% or so.

2. It’s applied to a variety of combustion furnaces, such as high temperature fluidized bed, the grinding powder coal stove and artificial coal stove.

3. The gear and pinion are pin column type which can be replaced, instead of the traditional steel casting gear, saving the cost of investment, and greatly reduces the maintenance cost and time.

4. The central control system, can realize large enterprises microcomputer central monitoring management.

5. The production capacity is larger, can do continuous operation;
