Preface

The treatment of the municipal sewage and industrial waste water has become the top problem for different regions and enterprises. Although the treatment process technology of the sewage has been mature and perfect, the key link of the sludge concentration and dewatering is still in continuous research and exploration. Our factory has developed the dewatering equipment of new generation by studying the working principle and structure of various kinds of dehydrators and absorbing the mature technology and experience from the foreign countries since this year. The dewatering equipment has replaced the imperfect plate and frame press filter and the centrifugal thickener, being widely used in the sludge concentration during the sludge treatment process and the concentrated pressure filtration of the slurry during the production process and it is the concentrated equipment for the first choice.

Feeding of quenching and tempering

1. Principle for quenching and tempering: sludge is composed of the tiny particles with severely strong hydrophilicity, which makes the direct dewatering become quite difficult, therefore, quenching and tempering treatment is necessary before the dewatering of the sludge. Since such kind of quenching and tempering will influence the effect of the dehydrator directly, it becomes a quite necessary link. The quenching and tempering treatment about sludge varies one from another but the majority has adopted the polymeric flocculant method, making the particles with hydrophilicity cluster by means of the neutralization treatment of the charge, which is beneficial to the dewatering of the dehydrator.
