I.Products overview:
Applying the leading dewatering technology in the transition dewatering section, the belt type filter press avoided the problem of sludge leaking from both sides of the belt when there is large volume of sludge. As the self-cleaning stainless steel nozzle is used for the washing system of the belt strainer, water from the secondary sedimentation tank could be used for washing. Dirt in the nozzle will be clean by itself. As a result, operation cost will be lowed.
The belt type filter press has a well anti-corrosion performance. All its fasteners are made of stainless steel. It is equipped with the automatic unit for anti-deflection of belt strainer as well as the pressure regulation unit. Both sides of the belt strainer are designed for anti-deflection. The sludge feeding volume, belt tension, belt speed and dosage of the filter press can be adjusted according to the customers specifications so that its productivity and dewatering rate could meet the optimum state.
The belt filter press has been widely used in different types of wastewater treatment. It has a unique design of multi-stage dewatering. The sludge cake produced has a low water content ratio. This equipment can run continually with low revolution speed and high efficiency. It is also easy and safe for operation.
II.Operational principle: Sludge enters belt strainer from hopper. The moisture is squeezed out of the sludge through extrusion of the belt strainer and the roller wheel.
III.The working process of belt filter press consists of four phases:
1. Pre-treatment: sludge thickening by gravity for increasing sludge concentration and reducing volume. Sludge is mixed with flocculation agent to form floc and is settled.
2. Gravity dewatering: The pre-treated sludge is then fed to the belt strainer of the filter press. The water is filtered out of the belt by gravity.
3. Wedge dewatering: Following the gravity dewatering, sludge enters to the wedge section for dewatering. After the above two stages, the sludge has lost its fluidity and is ready for the pressing dewatering.
4. Roller pressing dewatering: Sludge is excluded by different rollers repeatedly to become sludge cakes with low water content ratio, and then will be discharged to the outlet automatically.
