Sunflower honey

Sunflower honey is a sweet fluid that is made from the nectar of sunflowers. It is mild in flavor, and its color is golden to dark brown. At room temperature, this type of honey is a highly viscous, crystalline fluid. Sunflower honey has a pleasant taste and smell. Specific structure of sunflower makes this honey recognizable. Sunflower honey contains enzymes, minerals, organic acids, vitamins. This honey contains more glucose than other types of honey. Sunflower is a well-known oil plant. The diameter of the flower head is depending on the sort and growing and contains up to 1500 yellow flowers. Blooms in June-July. Sunflower can be grown as a second culture. In these cases, it blooms in August-September, even in October, and is of great benefit to the autumnal development of colonies. Thereof bees collect significant reserves of honey and pollen.
