About wasabi

Our lately launched Fresh Wasabi Paste blend of fresh wasabi,  fresh horseradish and  mustard seed, we used the raw material. Fresh Japanese horseradish is available in some upsacle grocery markets and health food stores. A good indicator is the price, since genuine wasabi is quite expensive.

Japanese horseradish and wasabi  janonica are root vegetable that are widely used in Japanese cuisine. Known as " Wasabi" in Japanese ,  the plant belongs to the botanical family Wasabia japonica. It is most often used as a condiment for sushi.  Wasabia japonica , the plant that produces japanese horseradish, is generally difficult to cultivate. In its natural habitat, it grows near mountain streams, and for commercial production, it is grown hydroponically. Outside Japan, Wasabia japonica is cultivated in China, North America, and New Zealand.

The pungent heat of wasabi differs from chilli. It develops quickly and rises up the sinuses rather than holding in the mouth, then quickly dissipates. We think fresh wasabi has a very clean heat. You’ll see what we mean when you try it
