The Prunus Armeniaca belongs to the Rosaceae family. It grows to be 3 to 4 m. in height. Its flowers are white on the outside and pink on the inside. The orange fruit is sweet and delicious. 

The oil is obtained by expeller pressing the kernels. Due to our refining process, the resulting pale yellow oil has no taste or aroma at all. The apricot kernel essence is used for producing antirheumatic massage ointments. Once the oil is extracted, the resulting cake is an excellent component for masks and cataplasms. A toxic substance is extracted from the resulting cake (about 2 or 3 % of amygdaline) which produces hydrocyanic acid by means of hydrolization. The cake also contains 50% essential oils, albumins and sugars.
