Towing straps

High quality, heavy duty towing straps, the straps can be used for recovering and towing applications when a vehicle goes emergent.

Break strength from 3 to 60 tones, the maximum elongation to up to 20%. They are manufactured from high tenacity polyester or nylon material with or without drop forged fittings. Width from 45 to 300MM. Custom lengths available. Cordura protected eyes to resist wear and tear available.

Application

Use and storage of the towing straps

l         Always inspect for damage prior to use.

l         To attach and wrap around an appropriate frame point and thread the towing strap through the eye of the other end to choke the frame.

l         For recovering application, always securely attach the hardware to the recovery vehicle.

l         Keep free of debris or material that may cut or damage the towing strap.

l         Always keep safety in mind when recovering and towing a vehicle. It is possible a towing strap could break if impaired or used improperly and result in damage or injury.

l         A good rule of experience is for the vehicle weight to be half the break strength of the towing strap.

l         When choosing a towing strap, you should choose a towing strap that is strong enough to recover and tow the vehicle with the different weight. It is essential for the towing strap to be allowed to stretch so the memory of the nylon webbing will help the vehicle out and take some of the shock out of the initial tow.

l         Straps should not be stored in direct sunlight, which breaks down the fibers. Dirt and mud can damage the fibers as well. It is essential to clean the straps thoroughly by spraying them with water horizontally across the strap. Let them dry thoroughly before rolling them up for storage.
