There are two main types of buckle available for use with woven and corded polyester strap. To a large degree they are interchangeable but each has something specific to offer.
The bright galvanised buckles allow for easy tensioning a re-tightening of loads, it is a must for the composite strapping but can equally be used with the woven, corded or Softex strap.

Sheradised buckles are a high performance buckle, can be used with woven, corded and Softex straps, the sheradised coating gives superior grip and weather resistance. Where slippage is to be minimised this would be the buckle of choice.
