1.0          FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This machine would be used for Milk / Fruit Juice.

 

2.0               DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

2.1          Capacity:              2000 LPH

2.2          Constructional Features: The design of the homogenizer will be robust, sturdy and self supported on stainless steel ball feet. All product contact surfaces will be made from stainless steel conforming to AISI 316. The complete unit will be provided with removable type SS enclosure conforming to AISI 304 to give sanitary outlook and protect the equipment from water splashes. The enclosure will have enough louvers for effective air circulation.

2.3          Finish: All welding joints will be ground smoothly. All stainless steel surfaces will be polished.

2.4          Joint Curvatures: There will not be any sharp corners or edges on the product  contact surfaces.

2.5               Suitability: The homogenizer will be suitable for Fruit Juice.

2.6               Working Pressure: The homogenizer will be of two-stage high-pressure design.

2.7               Cleaning: The homogenizer should be suitable for CIP cleaning in line with the pasteurizer & Separator up to 90° C with caustic soda (3% max.) & nitric acid (2% max.).

 

2.8               Suction & discharge valves: The suction / discharge valve will be of Special Material. The valve will be of Puppet type.

2.9          The plunger cooling shall be done by water. The machine to consist of 3 nos. AISI 316 Hard chrome plated plungers.

3.0          SCOPE OF SUPPLY

3.1               The Body: The body of the homogenizer will be made from high-grade cast iron, which should have SS shroud. The body will house crankshaft & connecting rod with relevant bearings.

3.2               Homogenizer Chamber (Compression Head) is made out of single piece forged AISI 316 block and tested with ultrasound and grounded to get the required finish with front loading plunger packing system.

3.3               The Homogenizing Valves: The homogenizing valves and valve seats shall have flat mating surface and should be made from Special material suitable for the product. The material of construction shal1 allow for abrasive products.

4.0          Accessories

4.1          Inlet and outlet of suitable size for product with 51 mm SMS union.

4.2          Pressure Adjustment: Hydraulic homogenizing pressure adjustment. - 1 set

4.3          Homogenizing Pressure Gauge: Flat diaphragm type, range 0-400 kg/cm SQ. for the first stage.

4.4               Lubrication System: Forced lubrication system with gear type oil pump and first charge of oil.

4.5               Oil cooler will also be provided along with oil cooling line.              - 1 set.

4.6               Lubrication oil pressure gauge will be provided.-1 No.

4.7               Oil Level Safety: There shall be oil level safety switch will only indicate if  the crank case oil level fall below minimum limit.

4.8          Homogenizing Head: It should be of removable type- 1 set.
