Assay Principles

The Bacterial Vaginosis is identified through detection of its effective marker - polyamine. When the specimens contain polyamine, it can react with the reagent and generate ammonia. The volatilized ammonia has chromogenic reaction with the liquids in the test tube and become blue. When specimens do not contain polyamine, no reaction will take place and the liquid in test tube will remain yellow. So the infections of Bacterial Vaginosis can be detected through color change.

One year valid from the qualified date, 30 day valid after opening package. 

Interpretation of Results

Positive: the liquid in test tube becomes blue.

Negative: the liquid in test tube remains yellow or yellow-green.
