Advantages:

1. High capacity- Anchors utilize a 0.6’’ dia.270KSI(ultimate stress). The number of strands per anchor dictate the load carrying capacity of the anchor.

2.Light weight- For a class I protected anchor, the corrugated duct is grouted in the field, greatly reducing the weight of the anchor. There is more load carrying capacitiy per pound of 7-wire270KSI strand than solid bar.

3.Anchors arrive to the jobsite fully fabricated and packaged in coils to allow for installation in areas where there are clearance issue or bench width constraints.

4. Unlike bar systems, strand can be produced in any length.

Application:

1. It has been widely adopted by modern construction, especially used in pre-tension or post-tension for concrete constructions as building materials.

2. It has been verified by practice that various type of anchor also can be used for the different kinds of strand wires produced according to ASTMBSJISJIGAS and other international standards respectively only if its technical parameters shall marry the related detail materials.
