Overview
OEO6500 OLP-BIDI is an optical line protection device specially for rare optical fiber resources. Traditional OLP device needs to occupy 4 fiber cores. As a result, optical line protection cannot be realized due to lack of optical fiber resources at many places. Besides that, the two-fiber-mode is with high cost, and is a waste of fiber resources. It is not easy for networking, and not convenient for operation. However, OLP-BIDI only needs 2 optical fibers to realize optical transmission and optical line protection functions. When fault occurs to the primary optical fiber, it will automatically switch to the secondary optical fiber at the receiver end, so as to ensure the non-blocking operation of communication,improve the stability and reliability of communication system, and meanwhile save fiber resources.
