•Compared to others 3D printer motherboards, especially the open source motherboards which lack powerful computing power (specially for delta printers) for printing in fast speed with detail outcome, this motherboard don’t. The motherboard was born to aid current 3D-printer manufacturers with a stable and full functional motherboard. The firmware includes data and variables collected from different 3D printer manufacturers and in-house testing data. That’s to day, this motherboard was originally mend for 3D-printer manufacturer that wants to offer its customer a 3D-printer with a real stable motherboard.
•The motherboard is equipped with a 32-bit high-speed ARM chipset (STM32F103ZET6) which results in high computing power which makes print outcome more detailed even if the speed is increased. The board also has functions that carries out repeated optimization, employing SD file configuration mode which equals to convenient and quick renewal.
The motherboard uses self-developed firmware, with all the advantage of open source firmware. The firmware uses SD file configuration, which can be updated easily and quickly.
•The board, together with color touch screen, enjoys simple interface and high sensitive touchscreen. The firmware has experienced arc optimization, PID temperature stability optimization and can shutdown automatically after printing.
•It also supports breakpoints, which means you can pause it during the printing, save the position, turn off the electricity and the next day you can resume to print again in the exact same position you left of your printing.

FAQ:
Q: I can not connect my PC with any software e.g Repetier-Host, why?
A: First, make sure that you connect to the correct baud rate, it should be 115200. Secondly Tick the "USE PING PONG COMMUNICATION" on your software if available. Third make sure or test that your USB cable really is connected and work, you can test with other devices to confirm this.
Q: How do I flash the board if I can not get access to the firmware?
A: The firmware normally have lots of instructions in it, but in order to make the instruction work, you must always go to a configuration file and change the settings because the configuration file works like an anchor to the firmware. That said, in order to change the settings, you do not need to get access to the firmware, instead there is a configure file which you can use to configure the printer so it fits your settings.
For example, in the firmware there is a function to auto stop the printing, but to do that you must first enable this function in the configure file. This will tell the configure file to give the firmware access to the autstop printing function (which is hard coded in the firmware).
In order to save your settings.Simple put the configuration file on a SD card and insert it on the Chitu board’s SD slot, power up the board and then print the configuration file (you do not need to actually print something). The system will now automatically save your settings.
Q: Is it possible to implement customized company logo/translation or new functions on the Chitu?
A: As for firmware, it is closed source, which means only the developer have access to it. Instead if you want to add Logo, translation, new function or new design, you must pay for this extra feature/services and the developer will help you update the firmware according to your wishes.
Q: Do Chitu have functions that auto pause the print if the filament is broken or end of material?
A: Yes, however in order for us to implement this function in your 3D printer we need to make some changes in the firmware. This function cost. Please email us for more information how to proceed.
Q: What does the "SWITCH OF AUTOMATIC LEVELING AND BROKEN WIRES TEST" means?
Locate the + mark as seen below. The mark is where you can tune the voltage, use this to slowly tune it to 0.85V.
Warning: Do NOT spin the knob to fast! The 0=negative side and the += positive side.
Q: What is maximum current the board can handle?
A: Maximum 15A, as long as it do not exceed 15A everything will float perfectly.
Q: What is maximum current the board can handle with power module?
A: With the "Power Module Add-on" there is no restrictions on how many Ampere you use.
Q: What power transistor is being used in the Chitu?
A:The current transistor we use can handle and does not exceed 15A.
Q: Is the board capable of controlling the speed of the fans?
A: Yes.
Q: How many fans can connect to the board?
A:The current is 2-3 fans is OK.
Q: Does the board need extra cooling?
A: The best is to add an extra fan to prevent damage on the electronic because of slight heat.
Q: What OS does Chitu support?
A: The system you are using do not matter as long as the software you are using supports it. Repetier-Host is a recommended software that supports many OS.
Q: Does the board use FTDI?
A: Currently FTDI is not being used, instead the board is using PL2303TA.
Q: Is it possible to distinguish between a board with Thermocouple/Thermistor and without from their outlook?
A: Yes, if the board have Thermocouple then there is a plug (MAX6675), if the board is Thermistor there is no plug. Please see pic below.
The board is using K-type thermocouple.
At the "Complete Machine Parameter" file, at M8080 you can see the different types of temperature sensor supported.
For example:
M8081 I0, Types of temperature sensor:
0: Ideal NTC 100K 1% 3950 B (represents the thermal resistance)
1: K-Thermocouple, (representatives thermocouple)
2:EPCOS NTC 100K 1% 3950 B, corresponding to the type 1 sensor of marlin.
