HORIZONTAL SAND MILL EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING:

 

 

• Unitized heavy Steel power frame with hinged access panels.
• Abrasion resistant grinding chamber of 420 Stainless Steel spirally   grooved and jacketed for intensive water-cooling.
• Milling shaft made of High quality carbon steel and hard chrome plated.
• Alloy Steel grinding discs and tapered shaft spacers.
• Grinding chamber with removal carriage rail system.
• Product chemical service hose assembly (pump to shell) with quick disconnect fitting.
• Water distribution system for cooling grinding chamber and mechanical seal.
• Drip pan, drain, and media removal port included

 

 

 

 

MAIN DRIVE:

 

• Explosion proof main motor for 3 phase, 50 hertz, and 440-volt. [60 Hz 380 V can also be supplied.]
• Fixed grinding disc peripheral speed.

 

MILLING SHAFT SEAL:

 

• Mechanical seal system including water/oil-cooled arrangement.
  
  

GRINDING MEDIA SCREEN:

• Heavy duty self - cleaning dynamic separator discharge screen with 0.4 - 0.5 mm opening slots. Recommended grinding media 1 mm

 

PRODUCT FEED PUMP:

 

•  Explosion proof  pump  motor for 3 phase,  driving a positive displacement Gear pump through a AC frequency inverter.

 

CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTATION:

 

 Machine mounted horizontal operating console with :

 Main Motor On and Off.
 Pushbuttons.
 Pump Start.
 Machine Stop / Emergency stop.
 System ready light.
 Ammeter.
 Pump drive control.
 Product pressure gauge.

Temp Gauge for product.

 Voltmeter

 

Safety interlocks:

Automatic shut off of main motor at high pressure.

Interlock between pump and main motor.

 

Note: Electrical panel and Frequency inverter are not in FLP construction.

VFD for the pump is mounted in a separate non-flameproof area. Explosion proof controls are mounted next to the machine. Grinding media is not included.
