1, What does Yarn-count & Thread-count mean?
Yarn-count: The fineness of each yarn is what the term yarn cotton refers to - the
higher the yarn cotton, the finer the yarn. Finer yarns allow for lighter, softer fabric.
Thread-countis simply the number of threads per square inch of fabric.
These consist of vertical yarns (warp) and horizontal yarns (weft) woven together.
Take 40s*40s 233TC (133*100) for example, 40s*40s is the count of the warp & weft
yarn, 233TC (133*100) is the thread count, which consists of the 133 warp yarns and
100 weft yarns in one square inch of fabric.
2. Does good quality yearns and high thread count equals to good quality bed linen?
