MIT/ Multi-Array Induction Tool
MIT is equipped eight group coil arrays, and performs real time acquisition of multiple frequencies. The tool measures 28 real and imaginary conductivity curves of original formation. Through digital synthetic focusing and software imaging, the tool provides 15 formation conductivity processing curves of 3 vertical resolutions (30, 60 and 120cm) and 5 radial detection depths (25, 50, 75, 150 and 225cm). The tool is mainly used to quantitatively describe bedding and invasion characteristics, to measure formation conductivity and to calculate the oil saturation of the formation.
MIT is a new array-configured and digitalized imaging logging tool. It adopts the multi groups of 3-coil array structures to log the resistivity of the resistive and reactive components of the formation. After the environment corrections and software focused-processing, formation conductivity curves with three vertical resolutions and five measuring depths are derived. Eventually, it provides a 2D visual profile indicating formation apparent resistivity, apparent formation water resistivity and formation oil saturation. |
