• MCI provides a high resolution image of bore hole. The tool is used in fracture identification, thin formation evaluation, lithologic division, formation anisotropism evaluation and sedimentary facies and structure analysis and is an important means for logging evaluation of complex heterogeneous reservoir and geologic characteristic analysis. MCI has 6 pads with 144 electrode buttons, 24 electrode buttons are distributed on each pad. The electrode measurement is graduated and synthesized to obtain false color or grey images with the longitudinal resolution up to 5mm, reflecting the relative variation of the near-formation microresistivity near well bore. In addition, the inclination survey instrument composed of a triaxial accelerometer and a triaxial fluxmeter accurately measures the geologic data such as formation azimuth and hole azimuth etc.
