ZXR10 3900E series switches are box-like layer 3 routing switches that deliver superior integrated network services for space-constrained environments in campus networks. 

Powered by European standard hardware architecture, state-of-art software platform, innovative "Easy-maintenance" design philosophy, ZXR10 3900E is a superior L3 box switch. With ZXR10 3900E, customers can build highly reliable and scalable campus network, while satisfy end-user's requirements.

ZXR10 3900E series switches offer following switch types: 3928E, 3928E-FI and 3952E. The interface offerings of these switches are listed below:

3928E:     24*FE RJ45 + 1*expansion card slot

3928E-FI: 24*FE SFP  + 1*expansion card slot

3952E:     16*FE SFP  + 4*expansion card slot + 1*subcard slot;

The expansion card slot can be equipped with following types of expansion cards:

4*GE RJ45/4*GE SFP/4*FE SFP.

3952E is a 2U height switch, while each of its four expansion card slot can be equipped with 8*FE RJ45 card or 8*FE SFP card.

All ZXR10 3900E series switches support dual modular power supply, while 3952E in addition support field-replaceable fan-tray.

Full Service support

ZXR10 3900E supports smart vlan, which means the automatic assignment of dedicated vlan and Qos strategy to important traffics like voice and video. This is done by indentifying the MAC address of the terminal equipment. End-users can simply plug in their equipments and enjoy good service quality.

Multicast based technologies like video-surveillance and videoconference are becoming more and more popular these days. ZXR10 3900E fully supports L2/L3 multicast, including IGMP snooping, Filtering, Proxy, Fastleave, MVR (Multicast VLAN Registration) and PIM-SM to facilitate the deployments of these services.

ZXR10 3900E also supports MCE (multi-vrf CE), which means the capability to simulate multiple CE to reduce the number of CE equipments and reduce interface requirement for PE. Each virtual CE is separated from other virtual CE. User isolation and security guarantee can be implemented by multi-vrf CE. 

Easy-Maintenance 

With innovative "easy-maintenance" concept incorporated in every detail of the design, ZXR10 3900E can bring ultimate efficiency and simplicity for the maintenance routines, cutting the operating costs of the network through simple yet efficient methods.

Thanks to ZXR10 3900E series' 220mm depth, it costs enterprise users little space to install the switch. All the hardware components, including the power supply, all the access interfaces and uplink interface, fan modules (only 3952E supports replaceable fan module) are front accessible, making it convenient to administrate the switch in space-constrained environment.

The innovative M-Button function enables the manager to fetch important equipment information including port/memory/CPU status in case of network problems by reading the interface indicators, enabling instant trouble-shooting, and thus reduce OPEX to the utmost extent by shrinking network down time. M-button adds no more investments. Only extra meanings are endowed to the status of the interface indicators.

ZXR10 3900E supports Zero Configurations, which means switch can automatically download software images and start-up configurations. Zero Configurations truly enable plug and play and reduces the requirement for experienced engineers.

Easy-Security 

ZXR10 3900E supports diversified mechanisms to guarantee the security of the network: 

CPU DDOS protection capability helps the equipment to mitigate the influence caused by attacks. Equipment itself won't be brought down to ensure the network stability.

DAI (Dynamic ARP inspection) function and IP/MAC binding help prevent against DOS (Denial of Service) attacks.

802.1X can be used for authentication purpose. Working together with policy server, the user control policy can be applied to 3900E after the authentication is done. Bandwidth limit/Qos strategy can thus be implemented automatically.

Ehanced routing protocol communications, including simple password test and MD5 authentication can be used to prevent from the alteration of routing protocol interactions. 

Traffic mirroring/analyzing functions like RMON (remote monitoring), SPAN (switched port analyzer), RSPAN (remote switched port analyzer) and sFlow help analyze real-time network condition.
