Overview

The EX9200 line of programmable Ethernet switches simplifies the deployment of cloud applications, server virtualization, and rich media collaboration tools in campus and data center core and aggregation environments.

In the campus, the EX9200 enables collaboration and provides simple and secure access for the delivery of mission-critical applications. In the data center, it simplifies operations to align the network with fast-changing business requirements.

Three EX9200 switches are available:

EX9204 (4 slots in a 6 U chassis)

EX9208 (8 slots in an 8 U chassis)

EX9214 (14 slots in a 16 U chassis)

The EX9200 chassis deliver up to 240 Gbps (full duplex) per slot. A pass-through midplane design supports capacity of up to 13.2 Tbps for built-in migration to next-generation deployments. Any combination of GbE, 10GbE, and 40GbE interfaces can be used, and the switches include support for 100GbE cards when available.

Features

  • Field-proven Juniper technology: A carrier-class architecture, coupled with the Junos OS, enables EX Series Switches to provide carrier-class reliability for every application.

  • Security risk management integrates Unified Access Control to help EX Series Switches dynamically deliver network protection, guest access, and identity-based QoS.

  • Wire-speed performance at high 1GbE, 10GbE, 40GbE, and 100GbE port densities dramatically simplifies network topologies and operations.

  • Eight QoS queues per switch port ensure proper prioritization of voice, video, and multiple levels of data traffic, with room to converge other networks, such as building automation and video security systems.

  • Innovative, cost-effective switch design enables new architectures that reduce cost and complexity, while unified management and automation tools consolidate system monitoring.

  • Virtual Chassis and Virtual Chassis Fabric technologies on select models allow interconnected EX Series and QFX Series Switches to operate as a single, logical device, reducing operational expenses and simplifying management.
