CALCIUM SILICON CORED WIRE
Calcium Silicon alloy is widely used to improve the quality, castability and machinability of steel.
Calcium is a powerful modifier of oxides and sulfides, It transforms alumina inclusions into coplex Calcium aluminate compounds, improving the castability of the steel in a continuous casting process. Other benefits include reduction in deposits of solid inclusions inside of the tundish nozzles, preventing clogging. Calcium also improves steel’s machinability, increasing the life of cutting tools.
This product has been developed for the Calcium treatment of Al-killed, restricted-Silicon-content steels.
MANUFACTURING METHOD
Crushing the additives (CaSi alloys) into certain granulation (in the form of powder), then, using the equipment to fill the powder into the "U" shaped sheath, which is made of high quality cold rolled steel strip, lastly, tightly closing the wire, so a multiple material(cored wire) with certain length will be obtained.

HOW TO USE
By using feeding machine to inject the Calcium Silicon cored wire with exact length reaching into the bottom area of Ladle at an reasonable speed, along with the melting of wire sheath, the included powder will be evenly dispersed & reacts with the liquid steel inside the ladle.
Calcium Silicon cored wire is more advantageous compared with use of powder spraying method and putting ferro alloy directly in.

PACKING
For protction from moisture and damage during transportation and storage, coils are encased in a steel shelf and then wrapped with 2-ply transparent plastic film, 1-ply red polypropylene plastic woven outer. 10-20 coil can be shipped in a 20 ft container (up to size option). Other packing option are available upon request.
