Steel pipe shot blasting machine

Application: machine is specifically designed for the continuous external surface treatment of pipes and cylindrical parts (bottles reservoirs, etc. ).
Typical employment: Coating with bituminous products oxide and calamine removal, preparation to painting of pipes and cylindrical parts, surface preparation to rubberizing.
Equipment: Frequency inverter for rolls conveyor, blast wheel, abrasive recycle system, digital control panel, optional customized automatic loading and offloading system. , dust collector.
- The Blaster will handle a wide variety of shapes and sizes, and can produce surface conditions up to White Metal Blasting SSPC SP5 (NACE 1) specification.
- The machine is completely integrated and only requires infeed and outfeed conveyors.

- The blast cabinet is made of manganese steel for long life and is further reinforced with replaceable manganese liner plates. This well sealed chamber stops rust and dust particles from entering the shop.
- The heavy duty, variable speed chain driven internal roller conveyor is easily connected to extension input and output conveyors. Transfer speed is easily adjusted to achieve the desired surface finish.
- The conveyor speed monitor automatically controls the starting and stopping of the shot blast action.
- Four highly efficient direct drive High Performance Turbine blast wheels achieve the highest surface finish quality while requiring less power, further reducing cleaning costs.
- The complete abrasive recycling system comprises collection hopper, screw conveyors, two bucket elevators, air separator, drop-out box, maintenance platform and four high-performance turbines with abrasive flow-control units.
- The high velocity abrasive blow-off unit at the cabinet exit keeps the shot in the system and out of your shop.
- Within the abrasive recycling system, a large highly efficient air wash separator prolongs shot life and a drop-out box removes coarse particles to avoid destruction of filter elements.
- All inspection ports are easy to access and a maintenance platform is standard.
- The simple maintenance requirements, the reduced abrasive consumption and reduced energy consumption all add up to a significant reduction in operating costs.
- An integrated air filter unit with long-life conical elements effectively removes dust from the system, and returns clean air to the shop. This filter system is self-cleaning and the filter elements are easily replaced after many hours of use.
- A central electrical cabinet provides complete control of the unit with ammeter display for control of turbines, working and blasting hour counters, lighted control switches, fault indicator lamps, speed controller, master switch and emergency stop switch.

What is the target market for this machine?

The Blaster is designed for customers who require a more sophisticated method than just manual cleaning in preparation for further processing or painting.

What type of abrasive media does it use?

The Blaster is designed to use round steel shot. The shot is recycled inside the system and gets smaller and smaller during the blasting process, until it is completely consumed. Approximately two tons are required for start-up, and approximately 20 pounds are consumed per blasting hour. Replenishment is easily done as needed.

What utilities are needed to run the Blaster?

The electrical system runs on three-phase input and a transformer will be provided for your supply voltage if required. Clean and dry compressed air supply is also needed.

What does it cost to operate?

The highly efficient turbines require much less power that competitor's shot blast machines. Including abrasive consumption, power consumption and maintenance, the total operating cost averages around $20 per hour in US.
