This product contains cadmium and consequently from January 2010 sales of it have been discontinued. We recommends the use of cadmium-free brazing filler metals because they are safer to use and better for the environment.

In most cases HZ-Ag55B is a suitable alternative to HZ-Ag40C.

 

 

Please note that when changing to a cadmium free product, customers should satisfy themselves that the brazing alloys selected are suitable for their requirements. If in any doubt please consult us for advice concerning cadmium free alternatives.

Product uses: It can be used to join all the common engineering materials (excluding aluminum) such as copper, copper alloys including, brasses, bronzes, gun metal, nickel silvers, aluminum bronze, copper nickel, steels including, mild, carbon, tool steel, stainless steels, low alloy steel, tungsten carbide and PCD segments.

Conditions for use: This alloy is mainly used for brazing in air with a flux. In most cases HZ-QJ102, HZ-QJ305 Flux can be used in conjunction with it. However flux selection is application dependent. Please refer to us or flux product data sheets before selecting a flux.
