1. Proposal brief
1.1 This is full-auto treatment station, applied for on-site treatment in hospitals and large clinic center.
1.2 Medical waste density is calculated based on 120kg/m3.
1.3 Daily working time: as per daily 2 shifts (12H) and more shifts allowed.
1.4 Cycle time: Approx. 50 min/cycle from load to load.
1.5 Processing capacity: 160kg/cycle, nearly 2t/day.

3. Working principles
Medical waste loaded by bins are moved into autoclave, sterilized by saturated steam at 134°C(273°F) and 0.22Mpa(32Psi) in about 30 mins for complete and effective sterilization; it is then dumped to shredder to render unrecognizable.The final waste,achieving microbial inactivation 6 Log10(99.9999%),
same as household waste can directly deliver to landfill.
4.Process Chart : Auto process only by touch screen control
5. Process description
Bin Loading
The autoclave bins loaded with medical waste are moved into autoclave through ferry platform
automatically; then door is closed and operator is able to start the cycle only through touch screen.
Pre-vacuum
The cycle starts with a prevacuum process as per program to evacuate air and turned pressure
inside to negative pressure at 0.09Mpa (13 psi).This process ensures complete and effective sterilization that comes next.
Sterilization
After the pre-vacuum process, the autoclave system begin to increase temperature to achieve a temperature
at 134°C (273°F) & pressure at 0.22Mpa (32psi).Saturated steam maintains about 20 minutes to ensure that medical waste no matter that is located at anywhere is completely sterilized and exceeds microbial inactivation
6 Log10(99.9999%).
Post-vacuum
At post-vacuum process, steam is vented and condensed so as to remove the residual steam and moisture
completely; thus the treated waste become dry and cold at end of the cycle.
Recording
The autoclave system has automated recorder and printer which can record the important data of the operation process and print out after each cycle.
Unloading
At the end of the cycle, a green light will show that the cycle is complete. Then the door is open and through
ferry platform the bin is moved from autoclave to shredder.
Shredding
Through bin dumper the sterile waste is dumped into shredder. After shredding, the final treated waste
becomes unrecognizable pieces.
Landfill
The treated medical waste with volume reduction of 50%-80% is same as household waste and can be directly delivered to landfill.
