Q: What's the difference between HDPE pipe and UHMWPE pipe?

 

 

 

A: the molecular wieght for HDPE pipe is only 30,000-50,000, however, the UHMWPE pipes is 3.5 million to 9.2 million. The higher molecular weight enables UHMWPE pipes to have a much better quality than HDPE pipes.

 

 

 

Q: What's the advantages of UHMWPE pipes compared with HDPE pipes?

 

 

 

A:   a) Wear Resistance: the wear resistance of UHMWPE material is the top among engineering plastics, It is 10 times better than HDPE material;

 

 

      b) Higher pressure bearing capability:  with 2 times better of tensile strength  than HDPE pipes, the UHMWPE pipes could bear higher  working pressure.
