Structure & description

TENA IGU (Insulating Glass Unit) is composed of 2 or more glass sheets edged by aluminum frames (spacers filled with desiccants) & sealant, and the infill of dry air or inert gas (such as argon). It has been widely adopted in windows & doors of buildings and vehicles due to its superior features below.

Superior heat-isolation

& Energy saving effect

It can reduce greatly the heat transmission between inner and outer space due to the inner hollow of dry air or inert gas between the glass sheets. Its K rate (thermal conductivity) is about 50%~80% lower than common glass sheets based on the type of infill gas (air or inert gas). Therefore it can help cut energy consumption of air-conditioners indoor and save the cost of power remarkably. In short, it is a kind of energy-saving product and can save money for consumers.

Ideal noise-isolation

If you stay in a room glazed by TENA IGU windows, you’ll find it very quiet and comfortable here almost without the bothering noise outside. Why? Because TENA IGU is an ideal noise-barrier to keep off the transmittance of noise from outside due to noise-isolation effect of the inner hollow of dry air or inert gas between the glass sheets. Usually TENA IGU filled by air/inert gas can cut off about 30/35 dB of noise. Eg. If the outside noise is 70 dB (normal noise standard in busy streets), the noise level in a room glazed by TENA IGU windows is only 35~40 dB, a very quiet environment.

TENA IGU is able to stand long-term UV light exposure with neither quality defects nor loss of its superior performances

Super-low dew point

The spacers filled with dessicant can effectively keep the inner space inside TENA IGU very dry. Thus in actual test no dews can be found even in a harsh environment (super-low temperature of -40 °C & very humid relative humidity 48%~53%). This means even in cold winter when there is a sharp temperature variation indoor & outdoor, TENA IGU window can keep dry, clear without dews, and maintain its superior performances of energy-saving and noise-isolation.

Flexible combination of glass sheets

Many kinds of glass sheets can be used as the isolation glass in TENA IGU according to the specific needs and

requirements of consumers, such as common glass, tinted glass, coated glass, Low-E glass, tempered glass, laminated glass, colorful glazed glass, etc. These provide rich options for architects, interior designers and consumers.
