Rice Bran Oil Machinery Introduction
1.Separating bran from fine broken rice section
The section is mainly used to remove broken rice and crude bran shell as well as other impurities, and it can reduce equipment failure,ensure normal operation,lower residual oil yield and solvent consumption.The screening method and wind separation method are usually used in the section.
2.Rice bran softening and conditioning section
Before entering the expander,rice bran is heated in advance, temperature of rice bran before expansion is increased,and expansion quality of rice bran is improved.Softening pot is mainly used to soften rice bran,improve its plasticity so as to improve extraction efficiency.
3.Rice bran expanding section
The section is a process before oil extraction, expanded rice bran can improve extraction efficiency, lower solvent and steam consumption,and increase oil yield and quality of crude oil.Main machine is rice bran expander.
4.Rice bran drying section
Using plate dryer to adjust the moisture and temperature to suit for extraction.
5.Extraction section
Oil extraction is an advanced oil production craft, now widely applied to oil plants,and it’s an organic solvent extraction method,oil is extracted from rice bran by contact(soaking or spraying) of solvent and rice bran.

6.Desolventizing-toasting section
The meal from extractor contains 25-35% solvent, for recovering solvent and getting better meal, solvent can be toasted by heating.High material layer toaster is usually applied to remove solvent from meal as well as dry extracted meal; DTDC desolventizer should be used for extracted rice bran meal.
7.Evaporation section
Solvent of mixed oil is vaporized by heating to improve oil concentration of mixed oil, i.e. volatile solvent is separated from nonvolatile matters. Long-pipe evaporator(also named raising film evaporator) is widely used for this section.
8.Steam-stripping section
Use steam distillation to reduce boiling point of mixed oil,so as to remove trace solvent off at lower temperature.
9.Crude oil degumming section
Add hot water and food grade phosphoric acid to mix with crude rice bran oil to finish degumming, mainly removing phospholipids,protein, grume and trace metal ions.Separate oil foots from oil with centrifuge, then dehydrate and dry oil.
10.Alkali refining deacidification section
Add caustic soda to neutralize free fatty acid to form sodium fatty acid,which will be separated from oil.
11.Decolorization section
Mix active bleaching clay with oil under vacuum condition for adsorption bleaching,and use leaf filter to remove waste bleaching clay.
12.Deodorization section
Under high temperature and high vacuum condition,utilize water vapour distillation to remove odor of oil.
13.Dewaxing & defatting section
Utilize winterization crystallization method to remove wax and fat,then through filtration separate wax and fat from oil.
