Our Biomass Briquette Press is in screw type, it produces hollow hexagonal or quadrangular cylinder with a 15-20mm hole through the body.The briquettes produced by a Biomass Briquette Press is easily handled and stacked, and they have some advantages over those produced using the ram and die press, such as better efficient combustion due to the central hole and carbonized outer layer.

Working principle:
Briquetting is a process that biomass is compressed under high pressure and high temperature. The machine uses a large screw to grind,compress and extrude the biomass into briquettes.
The self bonding of biomass to form a briquette involves the thermo-plastic flow of the biomass. The natural lignin content in biomass is liberated under high pressure and temperature. Lignin serves as the glue in the briquetting process, binds the particles of wood together, thus binding,compressing the biomss to form into high density briquettes.
During this process, no binder need to be used. So the ouput briquette is a type of clean and green fuel that is ideal for use in furnaces, boilers and open fires.
