 Tempered Glass

 

Tempered glass is one kind of high-strength glass with even compressive stresss on the surface which is made by heating float glass to nearly softening point and then cooling it down rapidly by air. After heat soak process, teh explosion possibility of tempered glass would reduce a lot.

 

Feature:
1) High mechanical-resistant strength
Impact-resistant strength of tempered glass is 3-5 times higher than that of float glass of same thickness.

2) Safety
Glass is not easy to be broken when attached. Broken glass particle is of honeycomb shape with obtuse angles which won't cause serve hurt to human body.

3)Thermal stability
Thermal stability of tempered glass is 3 times higher than that of float glassof same thickness. Tempered glass can withstand shift of 220°C-250°C while float glass can only withstand shift of 70°C-100°C

 

Application

Tempered glass is safe glass, extensively applied in the places which has critical request of high mechanical strength and safety, such as glass door, curtain wall of building, indoor partition, elevator, showcase, frontal windows of building, furniture and household appliance etc.
