WARNING:3ft T8 LED tube do not require a starter or ballast mechanism to operate.

This actually makes them electrically more straight forward with fewer components to go wrong. However, when replacing an existing fluorescent tube with an LED tube the existing fitting will need to be modified to bypass the old ballast and starter mechanism. This is not a simple process and unless you are confident in your electrical abilities, we recommend this is carried out by a qualified electrician.
