Forklift batteries refer to forklift specific batteries used for operations. This type of battery is installed inside the battery of an electric forklift. And a battery is a type of battery, its function is to store limited electrical energy and use it in a suitable place. Its working principle is to convert chemical energy into electrical energy. It is important to note that the battery should not be placed horizontally! Because the interior of the battery usually contains 22-28% dilute sulfuric acid. When the battery is placed upright, the electrolyte can submerge the electrode plate and leave some space. If the battery is placed horizontally, a part of the electrode plate will be exposed to the air, which is very unfavorable for the battery's electrode plate. Moreover, the observation hole or top of the battery usually has an exhaust port that is connected to the outside world, so the electrolyte is easy to flow out when the battery is placed horizontally.

Daily inspection

1. Liquid level: Below the rated liquid level, it will shorten the service life of the battery, and too little electrolyte will cause the battery to heat up and damage. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly pay attention to whether the electrolyte is sufficient.

2. Terminals, wires, and covers: It is necessary to regularly check the corrosion caused by oxidation at the junction of battery terminals and the connection with wires, and also check whether the cover is deformed and whether there is any heating phenomenon.

3. Appearance: Dirty battery surface can cause leakage, and the battery surface should be kept clean and dry at all times. 2、 Maintenance

Charging precautions

1. Adding water: Add distilled water to the specified liquid level, and do not add too much distilled water to prolong the water addition interval. Adding too much water can cause electrolyte leakage.

2. Charging: During the charging process, the battery will generate gas. The charging area should be well ventilated and there should be no open flames around. At the same time, the oxygen and acidic gases generated during the charging process will have an impact on the surrounding area. Removing the charging plug during charging will generate an arc. Only after turning off the charger can the plug be removed. After charging, there is a lot of hydrogen gas trapped around the battery, and no open flames are allowed. The cover plate on the battery should be opened for charging.

3. Maintenance of wiring terminals, wires, and covers must be carried out by professional technical personnel designated by the manufacturer.

4. Cleaning: If it is not too dirty, you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth. If it is very dirty, remove the battery from the car, clean it with water, and let it dry naturally.

1. Storage location: cannot be short circuited; Short circuits caused by rain can lead to fires and the production of a small amount of hydrogen gas. Therefore, batteries must be stored in a ventilated and cool place.

2. Waste batteries: Waste batteries still contain electrical energy and should be stored according to the storage method used.

Operation of electrolyte

1. Check the specific gravity: Use a suction type specific gravity meter to check the specific gravity. During operation, do not let the electrolyte splash out and wear protective equipment.

2. Operations other than inspection: professional consultation should be sought, especially when replenishing electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid).

3. Electrolyte leakage: Due to the tilting or damage of the battery, electrolyte leakage should be immediately addressed (refer to emergency handling measures)
