High Alumina Mortars
Introduction:
High Alumina Mortar (also called High Alumina Refractory Mortar), The main composition of high alumina mortar is Al2O3 whose amount is decided by the applied areas. High alumina mortar material is widely used in various furnaces and kilns. For instance, it can be used on the upper part of the hot stove. High alumina mortar is widely used in metallurgy, petroleum, the construction industry, and so on. High alumina refractory mortar as a kind of unshaped refractory product is a dry powder mainly composed of cement, mixed with fine sands which are dehumidified and dirt obviated with high temperature, and other polymer additives, prepared with special design, precisely calculated and forced mechanical blended, packed in bags or in bulk. In the building sites, users only have to put them into a cement spraying machine and blender with water, then air-compressed before use. Normally, the thickness of each layer should be about 10-20mm.
High alumina refractory mortar is widely used in various industrial kilns made of high alumina bricks.
For example, a hot blast stove is used to build a furnace roof, a regenerator, a combustion chamber, and the like. Used in parts such as the upper part of the blast furnace. It can also be used to repair industrial furnace roofs, furnace walls, and other parts.
Good plasticity, convenient construction; strong bonding strength, strong corrosion-resistance; high refractoriness; good slag resistance; good thermal exfoliation. It is generally used for refractory brick masonry with aluminum content.
With the enlargement and longevity of various furnaces, the lining material using condition is increasingly harsh. Therefore, the requirement for masonry material is getting higher. The quality of mortar can directly influence the service life of the equipment.

Applications:
Specifically, alumina mortar can be used in the fixing of structures built with clay bricks. For instance, the blast furnace, hot stove, coke oven, soaking furnace, heat exchanger, and boiler. And also, it can be used as masonry material to build furnace roofs, re-generator, and combustion chambers.
