Rotary dryer is widely used for drying materials with humidity or granularity in the industry of mineral powder , building materials , metallurgy , chemical and so on . Such as sand , coal , sludge , coal slurry , brown coal , fly ash , gypsum , clay , kaolin , grain(corn , wheat) , slag , iron powder , mill scale , sawdust , chicken manure , feed etc .
Rotary dryer is mainly makes up of revolving body , lifting plate , driving device , supporting device , sealing ring and other components . So it has advantages of reasonable structure , perfect in workmanship , high yield , low energy consumption , convenient to operation and so on .
Principle
Wet materials are sent into hopper by belt conveyor or bucket elevator , then enter into the drum barrel . The gradient of loading chute must be bigger than the cylinder to make the materials move smoothly . The cylinder is installed at support device which angle of about 3-5 . Materials move from upper end to lower end , while heating medium moves from opposite or same direction . During this process , moisture inside the materials gets vaporized . The waste gas is released by the draft fan at the end of the drum . Some lifting boards are fixed on the inner wall of the cylinder . The elevate and scatter the materials repeatedly to accelerate the efficiency of drying . At last , the hot air is released into atmosphere through dust catcher .
