P-toluenesulfonizide is a white crystalline powder. Soluble in alkali, soluble in methanol, ethanol and butyl ketone, slightly soluble in water, aldehyde, insoluble in benzene, toluene. Melting point 103-108 °C(lit.), boiling point 340.5±35.0 °C(Predicted), density 1.42g/cm3, vapor pressure 0Pa at 20 °C, refractive index 1.5400 (estimate), flash point 60°C.
