RT-075 Material selection of the sintered mesh filter cartridges
In sintered mesh, five layers are the standard number of layers of sintered mesh. Those with more than five layers are called multi-layer sintered mesh. Therefore, five-layer sintered mesh is also called standard five-layer or standard sintered mesh. The following will introduce the structure, characteristics, materials, and sizes of five-layer sintered mesh.
The structural context of the five-layer sintered mesh, from top to bottom, the first layer is the protective layer, the second layer is the filter layer, also called the control layer, the third layer is the separation layer, and the fourth and fifth layers are both support layers, also called skeleton layers or reinforcement layers.
The five-layer sintered mesh has the following characteristics
1. High selectivity of filtration accuracy, 1-200μm is possible.
2. There is a protective layer on the top and a support layer on the bottom. The mesh stability of the filter layer is high, which fully guarantees the filtration effect.
3. Surface filtration, easy to backwash.
4. High temperature and corrosion resistance.
5. Easy to process to meet different working conditions in different industries. In general industries, five-layer sintered mesh made of 304 or 316L stainless steel can already meet the basic needs of users; in some special industries, sintered mesh made of Hastelloy, Monel or Inconel may be used. The standard sizes of five-layer sintered mesh are 500×1000㎜, 600×1200㎜, 1000×1000mm, 1200×1200mm, 1500×1200mm, and other sizes can be customized according to needs.
When choosing a sintered mesh filter element, the quality of the sintered mesh filter element can be judged according to the following aspects
1. Material: A good sintered mesh filter element usually uses high-quality metal materials to make the filter element have good corrosion resistance and wear resistance
2. Air permeability: A filter element with good air permeability can ensure the smooth passage of fluid and improve the filtration efficiency.
3. Strength: The filter element should have sufficient strength to withstand the pressure and impact during work.
4. Appearance: Check whether the surface of the filter element is flat and flawless, whether the mesh is uniform, etc. Different application scenarios may have different requirements for the quality of the filter element, and you can choose according to actual needs.
Difference | Sintered mesh filter element | Sintered felt filter element |
Material | Cleaning cycle | Metal fibers of different wire diameters |
Process | Produced at 1260℃ | Produced at 1180°C |
Structure | Multi-layer wire mesh composite with uniform filter aperture | With multiple gradient pore size layers, it has a greater dirt holding capacity |
Blind hole rate | Basically no blind holes | More or less blind holes |
Filter accuracy | 1-300um | 2-60um |
Cleaning cycle | Both are materials that can be reused after cleaning, but sintered felt has a larger dirt holding capacity and a longer cleaning cycle. |
