Magnetic powder cores have uniformly distributed air gaps and are mainly used in power inductor applications, especially in output filters of switch mode power supplies (SMPS), also known as DC inductors. Other applications of power sources include differential mode inductors, buck boost inductors, and flyback transformers. The biggest characteristics of this type of shape are high resistivity, low hysteresis and low eddy current losses, as well as excellent inductance stability under DC and AC conditions. In addition, Meici's magnetic powder core material does not use organic binders, so there will be no thermal aging phenomenon that occurs when using iron powder cores.

Magnetic ferrite cores are composed of iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), and zinc (Zn), commonly known as manganese zinc ferrite. Ferrite has low coercivity and is also known as soft magnetic ferrite. Due to their low magnetic loss at high frequencies, they are widely used in switch mode power supplies (SMPS), radio frequency (RF) transformers, and inductors.
