Application

The FTT-01 Thickness Tester utilizes a mechanical scanning technique to measure the thickness of various materials, including plastic films, sheets, fabrics, textiles, membranes, paper, foil, wafers, and more.

In this process, a sample is positioned on the instrument's base, and a weighted presser foot is gently lowered onto it. The instrument then measures the displacement or the gap between the base and the presser foot, providing an accurate measurement of the specimen's thickness. This method is valuable for quality control and assessment of materials in industries where precise thickness measurements are essential.
