Product Details

gabion mesh/Hexagonal Wire Netting/galvanized iron wire

Product Features

Material

Hexagonal Wire Netting is made from low-carbon steel, often galvanized or PVC-coated. Poultry Netting and Chicken Wire are made from galvanized steel or SS, sometimes with PVC coating.

Weaving Method

They all have a strong, flexible hexagonal pattern. Poultry Netting stops small animals from escaping or predators from entering, while Chicken Wire contains chickens.

Mesh Size

Hexagonal Wire Netting comes in mesh sizes from 1/2 inch to 4 inches. Poultry Netting typically has 1-inch or 2-inch mesh, while Chicken Wire usually has a 1-inch mesh.

Wire Diameter

Hexagonal Wire Netting has a wire diameter of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm. Poultry Netting is 0.7 mm to 1.2 mm, and Chicken Wire is 0.8 mm to 1.2 mm.

Applications

Hexagonal Wire Netting is used for fencing and plaster reinforcement. Poultry Netting encloses small animals in coops and hutches. Chicken Wire is for chicken coops, small animal pens, garden fencing.

The gabion net is made of low carbon steel wires with high corrosion resistance, high strength, and ductility, or steel wires coated with PVC, which are mechanically woven. The box structure made using this net is a gabion net box. According to ASTM and EN standards, the diameter of low-carbon steel wire used varies according to engineering design requirements. Generally between 2.0-4.0mm, the tensile strength of the gabion mesh steel wire is not less than 38kg/m', the weight of the metal coating is generally higher than 245g/m', and the edge line diameter of the gabion mesh sheet is generally larger than the wire diameter. The length of the stranded part of the double wire shall not be less than 50 mm to ensure that the metal coating and PVC coating of the stranded steel wire are not damaged.
