OVERVIEW Origins
The algorithm is one of the core technologies that determines the accuracy of non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP)
monitors. The optimal way to optimize algorithms is to test them with blood pressure raw data, including values
from both healthy individuals and those with medical conditions. However, using blood pressure raw data relies on
clinical trials, which are not only costly and time-consuming but also do not guarantee tests of specific medical
conditions.
To address this challenge, WhaleTeq has developed the advanced blood pressure simulator BPA700, which comes with
a unique "record and play raw data" function. This breakthrough feature overcomes the limitations of manually
setting parameters in conventional blood pressure simulators, allowing engineers to record and play any clinical data
to effectively verify the accuracy of algorithms.
Engineers can reuse recorded data to verify new designs, achieving the goal of "preclinical testing" to increase the
success rate of clinical trials and accelerate the time to market.
Moreover, the BPA700 integrates essential testing such as static pressure, blood pressure, leak, and overpressure
tests, and also features WhaleTeq's exclusive design "Standard Assistant Software", which incorporates
the IEC 80601-2-30 regulatory requirements into 14 test items.
