3500 Monitoring System
The 3500 system is a comprehensive monitoring system designed using the latest microprocessor technology. In addition to meeting the above needs, the 3500 system adds the following advantages:

The design of the 3500 system enhances operator information and makes the display of information easy to understand. These features include:

The 3500 system can provide the following three independent interfaces:

Framework interface module
The framework interface module is a full height module that can communicate with the host (a Bentley Nevada communication processor) and other modules in the framework. They maintain the system event list and alarm event list. This module can be connected to other framework interface modules and data acquisition/DDE server software in a daisy chain form. The 3500 monitoring system computer software and hardware manual explain how to connect the framework interface modules in a daisy chain form.
Communication gateway module
This module is a full height module that allows peripherals (such as DCS or PLC) to obtain information from the framework and set the framework configuration section.
Within the same framework, more than one communication channel module can be installed, each module supporting two channels simultaneously. The communication channel module can be daisy chain connected to other communication channel modules and then connected to DCS or PLC
The monitor module is a full height module that collects various sensor data. Any combination of monitor modules can be installed in the 3500 rack.
-4-channel relay module
This module is a full height module used for standard (or non redundant) monitoring systems. Its function is to provide four relay outputs
-TMR relay module
This module is a half height module used in Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) systems. Two half height TMR relay modules must work in the same slot. If the upper or lower relay modules are removed or marked as non OK, the other relay module controls the relay input/output module (only one actual relay combination)
Keyphasor module
This module is a half height module used to supply power to the phaser sensor, adjust the keyphase signal, and transmit the keyphase signal to other modules in the framework. The module calculates the speed value and sends it to the host and peripheral devices (DCS or PLC) simultaneously; And provide buffered keyway signal output, each keyway module supports 2 channels, and each 3500 rack can install 2 keyway modules (up to 4 channels). If two keyway modules are used, they must be placed in the same full height slot.
