3.Used as additive medium in production of antibiotic,such as penicillin,erythromycin,gentamicin,Spectinomycin, aureomycin, etc

Penicillin----CSL contains penicillin precursors. Adding corn steep liquor to penicillin production can increase penicillin production from 20u/ml to 100u/ml. Research has found that phenylethylamine in corn steep liquor is limited in binding to penicillin molecules, thereby increasing penicillin production

Erythromycin---Adding 1.5% corn steep liquor in the early stage of producing erythromycin can significantly increase the metabolic intensity in the early stage
