Certification Introduction:
In May 2006, according to India's "Energy Conservation Act" (Energy Conservation Act, 2001), the Ministry of Energy of India established the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) as the owner of the energy efficiency labeling scheme, responsible for the development, formulation and implementation of India's energy efficiency labeling scheme. The first products to implement the program are frost-free refrigerators and fluorescent lamps.
