4A Molecular Sieve Introduction:

4A molecular sieve is an alkali metal aluminosilicate, which can adsorb water, NH3, H2S, sulfur dioxide, 

carbon dioxide, C2H5OH, C2H6, C2H4 and other molecules with a critical diameter ≤ 4A.

 It is widely used in the drying of gases and liquids, and can also be used for the refining and purification 

of certain gases or liquids, such as the preparation of argon.


4A Molecular Sieve Application:

Polyester additives

The function of 4A molecular sieve as a detergent additive is mainly to exchange calcium ions in water to produce 

softened water, remove dirt and prevent dirt redeposit. 4A molecular sieve is currently the most used and most 

mature product in phosphorus detergents. 4A molecular sieve replaces sodium tripolyphosphate as a detergent to

solve environmental pollution. 4A molecular sieve can also be used as a molding agent for soap and a friction 

agent for toothpaste.


Sewage treatment

4A molecular sieve can remove NH3-N and Pb2, Cu2, Zn2, Cd2, etc. in sewage. The sewage discharged from industry,

agriculture, civil use and aquatic animal husbandry contains ammonia nitrogen, which not only endangers the survival  of fish, pollutes the breeding environment, but also promotes the growth of algae, resulting in the blockage of rivers and

lakes. Due to the high selective exchangeability of 4A zeolite to NH4, it has been successfully applied in this field. It comes

 from the sewage discharged from metal mines, smelters, metal surface treatment and chemical industries, and the heavy 

metal ions contained in it are extremely harmful to the human body. Treating these sewage with 4A molecular sieve can not 

only ensure qualified water quality, but also recover heavy metals.


Other uses

(1) Hard water softener -- water treatment can replace the sulfonated coal widely used in China, thereby reducing  cost.

(2) Metallurgical industry --separation agent to separate and extract potassium, rubidium, cesium, etc. in brine. 

     It is used in industry for enrichment, separation and extraction of metals and other processes;

(3) Petrochemical industry ---- catalyst, desiccant, adsorbent;

(4) Agricultural ---- soil amendments;

(5) Silver zeolite antibacterial agent for pharmaceutical.
