The EU RoHS directive restricts the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) to protect the environment and human health. It originally covered six substances and has been expanded to include additional substances over time. Manufacturers must comply with RoHS requirements and ensure their products are free from restricted substances.
