TRICONEX 9662-610 Program Organization Unit in Invensys PLC Programming

The software model of PLC, such as the TRICONEX 9662-610 standard, programmable controllers - Part 3: Programming language, consisting of top-level configuration. The configuration defines the hardware structure and logic of the PLC system, and includes resources that can execute programs (such as PLC or PAC). These resources are controlled by tasks, and task calls make up the execution of software blocks in the PLC project. These software blocks are called program organizational units.

A program is the highest level organizational unit of a program and can be written in any IEC 61131-3 programming language. Each program is a network of functions and functional blocks that control a machine or process (see below). Therefore, at least one program is required in any project.
