(1) Introduction to diaphragm compressor
Diaphragm compressor is named because it has a special diaphragm to separate the compressed gas from the outside world. Diaphragm compressor is also called "membrane compressor".
In diaphragm compressor, the function of cylinder is completed by a membrane cavity. The so-called membrane cavity is a cavity composed of a cylinder head with a dome shaped surface and an oil distribution plate (or cylinder block). The periphery of the membrane is fastened between the cylinder head and the oil distribution plate (or cylinder block). When the diaphragm flexes and deforms up and down, the volume in the membrane cavity changes accordingly, which plays the role of suction and compression. Therefore, in the diaphragm compressor, the diaphragm plays the role of piston in the general compressor. The closed cavity between the cylinder head and the diaphragm is the air cavity, and the cavity between the oil distribution plate (or cylinder block) and the diaphragm is the oil cavity.
Because the diaphragm of the diaphragm compressor completely separates the cylinder from the oil cylinder, the compressed medium does not contact with the oil, so as to avoid oil pollution and ensure the purity of the compressed medium. The cylinder is composed of cylinder head surface and diaphragm. It is a closed cavity, so it has good sealing. Because the membrane cavity does not need lubrication, has good sealing, and the gas does not contact with any lubricant, the purity of compressed gas is very high, especially suitable for the compression, transportation or bottling of some precious rare gases.
