Noise-canceling earphones CE RED certification testing inspection

Product Features

CE RED product certification scope

1, short range wireless remote control products (SRD), such as: remote control toy car, remote control alarm system, remote control doorbell, remote control switch, remote control mouse, keyboard, etc.

2, professional radio remote control products (PMR) such as: professional wireless walkie-talkie, wireless microphone and so on.

3, wireless phone CTO, CT1, CT1+...

4. ISDN (Digital Telephone Products)

5. DECT (Enhanced Digital Wireless Telephone)

6. Mobile phone GSM, CDMA test

7. Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth headset.

8. Operating frequency <9 kHz induction data transmission equipment.

9, radio broadcast receiver equipment

The key differences between the new Wireless Devices Directive (RED) and the old R&TTE directive are:

1. RED's product scope only covers wireless communication and wireless identification devices (such as RFID, radar, motion detection, etc.). Rf equipment not used for communication or identification will be in the control of EMC instructions and low voltage LVD instructions;

2. The wired communication terminal equipment (TTE) is removed, so the RED directive is only applied to wireless products;

3. The radio broadcast receiver is now included in the scope of the RED directive (previously covered in the EMC directive and low voltage LVD directive);

4. The lower limit of instruction coverage frequency has been cancelled (the control starting frequency of R&TTE before is 9 kHz), while the upper limit is still 3000 GHz;

5. The assessment opinion of the notified body has been replaced by the "Type Inspection Certificate";

6. The manufacturer may use the CE mark with the notified body number (Complete Quality Assurance - Type H) only after its quality system has been assessed by the notified body;

7. The requirement for Class II equipment to notify national spectrum authorities is no longer required;

8. The mark (warning number) of Class II equipment is no longer needed, but the warning of restricted use in some countries still needs to appear on the product packaging;

9. It is no longer necessary to show the CE mark in the user manual, but the frequency band and transmission power used by the radio frequency must be indicated in the manual;

10. The kits used for personal evaluation are no longer subject to control (that is, RED certification is not required);

11. The new directive requires the use of a unified charger;

12. The address and contact information of the manufacturer and importer must appear on the equipment and may appear in the user's manual if the equipment is too small.

These existing changes and others in the future will affect your company's product certification this year and in the next few years. Therefore, from now on, the new directive must be taken into account in the design and marketing of your company's products, especially for the products newly added to the directive, such as:

Radio broadcast receiver equipment;

Operating frequency <9 kHz induction data transmission equipment.

In accordance with the new EU Framework Resolution 768/2008/EC, the RED Directive also clearly defines the duties of manufacturers, importers, distributors and EU representatives. The name and addressable address of the manufacturer and importer must be identified on the product or accompanying instructions.

RED Test Project

1. Electromagnetic Compatibility test (EMC test)

2. Safety test LVD (In the new instruction, for RF products with battery input, this test is also required)

3. Test radio communication equipment (RF test) according to European ETSI standard

4. Notification of Spectrum Permits in Europe

5. CTR(TBR) test

6. Electrical Safety and Health Protection Test (SAR Assessment)
